A few pencil strokes are enough to capture a movement, or an emotion, yet my pencil is the thread. I draw with stitches, disregarding the formal rules of embroidery. I often play with a combination of different layers.
Expressing the momentary nature of emotions and movements is a focal point in my works of art. Can the importance of the moment be conveyed irrespective of time? Can momentariness be perceived? The contrast between the eternity spent on creation and the ease with which the outcome can be looked upon is the driving force behind my art.
